I switched to a 6.0 in my 99 siverado. So i am not going to need the 5.3 anymore. It has almost 49k. I have been using Amsoil since the first oil change in it and i have changed it evey 5000 miles. I will part it out if there are enough people wanting stuff of it. Make me an off on the crank and if anyone wants something off it make me an offer. I am sell the whole thing for $600 so let me know if anyone wants it before i start to part it out

 

What would I need out of it to make my 4.8 a 5.3 and how much for the parts?

 

Mac - You would need the crank, rods and pistons. Your best bet is to buy the whole 5.3 for $600 and sell your 4.8 after you make the swap.

 

Yeah not trying to knock anybody but i wouldnt part it. They are going on ebay for too much

 

I also have one 6.0 left to get rid of. It is a 2000 6.0 with 26k on it. It is just like the 5.3 less intake and stuff. I am cleaning out the garage and i will take 700 obo on it.
