Everything is included to make it work right? I got dibs if it is on the up and up. What brand is it? How old, etc..Is that area where it is installed the same size in the 2000 models?? Any problems with it? Why are you selling?

The 2000 model has a din and 1/2 radio and this is a double din. It could be installed, but it would have to be custom including cutting the dash piece. It works great and is installed in my truck rught now. I am selling it because we just moved and I need more money for expenses. I also just sold my Camaro and street legal mini chopper. I'm not going to have any toys, but at least we have a nice house. LOL.
The brand is Avatar and I got it from a wholesaler in Hong Kong I was going to start buying from less than a year ago, but it didn't pan out so this is the only piece I got from him.
It will need diversity TV tuner antenna's as mine will not be included in the sale. There are no problems with the unit, the only thing I don't like about it is that it only has 24hr format on the clock and I have not figured out how to change it. I don't think it can be changed, but I may be wrong.

I think the antennas are around $30 wholesale. I may have a set I can send you but they would be used. I'll have to look when I get home. I would do a search online to see what all is involved in putting a double din in that year model. I don't think you have to cut too much but I also don't know how much experience you have in custom work. You might want to call a local stereo shop and ask them how much they would charge.

Well, I have a buddy that owns a stereo shop so the install is no problem. He says that he will have to do some cutting and probably some fiberglassing. My only thing is that I have never heard of Avatar and I doing some searching trying to find some info on it.

just some info on this radio, they're made as he said by a japanese manufacturer. You can't find avatar probably because they dont make too much stuff. Basically, you order the DvD player in bulk... off of tradekey.com for example and they put your name on the bottom of it and there you have it. Your own DvD player. So $400 for this is a good deal, but unfortunately its buyer beware because you can't get a warranty... unless he has one or the paperwork for a manufacturer's warranty. Here's an example or two. I am too considering getting this player, BUT it won't be without a warranty of some sort or possibly one that is made by a big name manufacturer
