Default Comp cam and 918 springs

Custom ground comp cam and comp 918 springs. Around 5000 miles on the set. Specs: 218 / 218 114 LSA .563 lift +2 advance. These are comp XE lobes. Just a little larger than the cam that "smoke ur 5.0" installe din his truck a couple of weeks ago. He made over 320 to the rear wheels.

I never installed it in my truck. It was my plan to run this cam when I did a 6 liter motor swap in my 99 Z71. My plans changed a little.

Would this be a good cam for my set up with the Whipple? If so,what could I expect from it?

I think this cam would be better for someone wanting strong NA power. It would work with a whipple, but most people choose a split pattern cam for FI applications. It would make a mean combo with a Yank in a 5.3 liter truck.

If you can raise your idle, it will be OK with the Predator. I think it will be a little slower off the line, but pull really hard on the top end. With a converter, you'll see big improvements in the 1/4 mile. With just the cam, just stick to racing from a roll, and you'll be happy.
