does it have 3 cam bolt holes for the cam sprocket, or just 1 large hole in the center?

Just found out this is not a LS2 camshaft. picture shoes 7812, last four numbers of part number 12557812.

1998 F-body 0.500/0.500 198/209 119.5 117/122

Would this be a worth while upgrade in a 2007 4.8L LR4 ?

One way to tell for sure would be a close up of the back of the cam, LS1, would have the reluctor for the rear cam sensor, LS2 would have the reluctor on the cam gear, and non on the back of the cam.

OK that makes sense. I'm not doubting that you pulled it from the 06 Car. Maybe some body swapped a LS1 cam into it, or GM started reusing an old part number again. Or Thunder racing Thread as the part number listed wrong there.
