Wait so this just rests on top of the console? Any pics of the back or how it stays secure? I have a tape player and a little storage compartment there now.

 

Yes it just rest on top. you would have to remove the tape player and storage compartment and this goes in place of it. there isn't anything that attaches to the console it just sits there. i have never had any problem with it sliding around.

 

So that whole trim piece that has the storage / tape player gets removed and this rests on top, correct?

 

yep the whole piece comes out, there are two screws behind the storage pocket
