nothing too tricky, alot of people wait till the last second to bid, if you bid eairly you will probably get outbid at the last second and not have a chance to raise your bid. these people bid with only a few sec's left.

the key is to do what they do, bid at the last second.

decide exactly how much you are willing to pay for it, don't go low cause if you loose out on it and would have gone higher you will be pissed. so if you would pay $3500 for it bid $3500 for it. make sure you have an acount that you can bid with if this is your first bid, maybe put a bid in on something that is ony a buck or so just to see that it works.

so, bid what you are willing to pay about 15sec before the end of the auction.

the price wont go up to your full bid, it will only go high enuff to be higher than anyone else. if someone all ready bid higher it will shoot to right over your bid. you bid at the last sec so you are out of luck now or you own it.

did that make any sence?

You sound just like another ebay ConMan like myself. 135+ pos feed back here. Ask Chingy!

Yep, "sniping" is the biggest hurdle to Ebay these days. There is even a site that will snipe for you for a fee.
I also have been getting bit by "phantom" bidding, especially if you bid early. People place items and either use friends and/or other ID's to bid no reserve items up to find out the max people are interested in paying. They then offer a "second chance" for your max bid. I finally stopped using the extra chances or offering to pay the lowest ammount before the winning bidder hopped on.
Overall, I have just about built an iron 5.7L motor from Ebay and LS1Tech, in addition to all the great info and support! Keep on truckin everyone.

I hate early bidders, except when I am selling something.

Seriously though, bid with 10-15 seconds to go.
