I previously advertised this engine as a 6.0 but after a little question asking and research I have discovered that it is a 5.3 and not a 6.0. My buddy from back home was apparently ripped off by our local GM dealer and payed for a 6.0 and was given a 5.3. Anyways, the engine has a burnt up the number 8 piston rings. It has sat for several years now so what will be needed to get the engine running again is unknown but the motor was running fine when pulled from the truck other than it was burning oil very bad. It comes with heads fully assembled, and I know for fact it'll need new pistons and the block will need to be machined due to weathering. I want 500$ for it and it's a pick up only. Everything, fully assembled. I just pulled the heads off to see what all it may need to be fixed. It's a 2003 5.3.
