Default 1" Phenolic Spacer TVS2300 New

SOLD
I bought this forever ago and it's been in the box. Never installed. The part number says RDS/000TK-FD. LS3 TVS2300 1"

That's everything I know about it other than I spent $500 on it. The measurement photo is a little deceiving, it's 1" thick exactly.

Asking $300 shipped (lower 48)

So other than cooling effects do you actually pick up any gains? I seen a thread on ls1tech about it where some dude picked up some numbers. Do you have one installed on your ride? @arthursc2

It helps the harder you push the blower. It increases the lower manifold volume also and moves the intercooler off the valley floor. In the original location it’s too close at high airflow, the air has to turn sharp after exiting the cooler. This adds space and insulated the blower from engine heat. I ran a phenolic spacer in my previous TVS2300 setup.

Thanks for the info & did you actually see your temps drop on your previous blower? I’m seriously considering buying this for my TVS2300

Yes they dropped. I forget the exact numbers, but it helped with both heatsoak and overall IATS.

Looks like these guys beat me to the answer. I was planning to use it to eliminate heat soak into the blower. I never got a chance to use it but the Camaro guys seemed to have good results with it..and Supersub

There is a point of diminished return where it starts or ends? I do not know.

Me driving this set-up constantly logging as also shown other positive results. The Iat's Allways returns to a set baseline. no matter how hot it gets. I hot lapped cedar several times, the times got faster(tuning) day got later and the iats allways started @ the same base line.
Never got heatsoaked. The more i ran it the cooler it stayed. Now when i shut it off, It got hot! The spacer started absorbing that heat, literally I watched the temps rise from the bottom up. All I had to do was start it up again let it breathe, and down they went. Temps below the spacer 160's, above it 100. at the inlet 80's thats while running.
Never expected that! Whoo hoo! bonus!

I think I remember reading somewhere the temp drop was close to 50 degrees with the spacer.
