the extension was for aero, i'm 100% sure of it. at least what eng report says

 

it's just the black extension, roughly 2" in height. the center parts snap onto the valance in the center and the ends have one bolt on each side. that's the way it's attached on my buddy's 05 sierra. this extension won't fit 99-02 chevy models. that's the reason i'm selling it. thanks.

 

The extension is to create a lower pressure in the engine bay to help out the efans on the 05s. Wish it fit an 01 valance.

 

i think part number 15224193 fits the 99-02 models. it's the one used on 05 tahoes. the gray valance looks the same but i don't know if they modded it for the extension or not. i'll post results early next week.
