Default zo6 cam install!!!

What all do i need to put a z06 cam and springs in my 04 4.8l? Do i need to go with shorter rods, new gaskets. I need to know all of the parts needed because I will be doing it myself in my dad's shop. Has anyone done this to their 4.8l or 5.3l? Please let me know so i can plan for it.

Thanks

Its the same as any other cam swap on a Gen 3....

Some1 link him to that LS1 install help site please....

Here is a tip:
When you go to put that oil pickup tube bolt on, tie a peice of floss around the top and ancor it to something. If you drop it down the oil pan, you will be pulling the LCA crossmember and then the entire pan to get it out. Once you start getting it threaded, burn the floss off.

Make sure you are confident you can do this..... and LABEL EVERYTHING. I had about 20 bags full of nuts and bolts, etc. I used some LS6 rods on mine and haven't had any trouble.... If you don't get new rods and rockers, label which cylinder they came off of.
