Talking ZO6 cam gains

I have decided to go with the Z06 camshaft mainly because so many of you guys recomended it. I found a 01 Z06 cam, that has the specs: .525/.525 211 204 116 114/118. Would this be a very good mild cam. What types of hp gain would I see? Would my truck have a different lopeing sound to it/sound better/different? Also I know I would have to change out my springs, so I was figuring since many f-body guys switch their cams with this, couldn't I just find some stock f-body springs, would they hold up for sure, if not reccomend some that would hold up for a long time that are not expensive? Also I saw on a web site, I thought the address was sdpc2000.com but it doesn't seem to work, anyway they had a LS6 cam and they said something about having to change out push rods for longer ones, would I need to do that if I got the Z06 cam, or are they just trying to get people to buy more sh#t? Thanks for the help.

dont worry about pushrods, thats for the 02+ model LS6 cam.

Stock fbody springs are the same spring you already have. Get some LS6 springs.

I installed that 01 cam in my 99 truck. It gained 32 HP at the wheels.

It starts kicking in at about 3k, maybe a little sooner.

yeah, you feel it turn on at 3k. It pulls good to 6200. Much more power after 5400 than stock. Nice smooth power, but poor under 2000.
