is this cam worth putting in? i see alot for sale is why i ask. but i want a nice power gain roughly like 50 more hp but im not familar with the gains trucks have. any info or advise would be nice thanks
also whats a good CAI? im looking into the vararam cause i no they are good on vettes but seen they are available for trucks too.
my truck is an 01 ecsb gmc with just LT's offroad H-pipe and magnaflows. looking for simple and cheap mods as this is just my tow vehicle and DD.

you being in Cali, u will probably like the ls6 cam b/c of the strict CARB laws. Ive ordered my ls6 cam from a guy in dallas, 204/218 .550/.550, but im having it ground 0n a 114 lsa. But if u dont care about the CARB stuff, def. a 212/216, or 216/220 like O.H above said

From what I've gathered, the 220/220 114's pass Cali smog all day long, so a 212/218 114 should be no problem. I don't believe that the Z06 cam is well suited for towing as it doesn't come on until about 3kish I think. Def not going to get you 50 hp...

I like mine, feels great down low even lopes a little. Mine is an 01 which is a tad smaller then the 02-04. my dyno is in the sig, thats with the converter un-locked w/clutch fan and throught the flow-stopper muffler.
The only thing is with the ac on at like 55-65 it is very sluggish and the truck dosent like it much.
I have a graph if you want to see it
