Default Z71 Tahoe out of commision....

#7 cylinder only has 75psi in cylinder test- I need a new engine? with 15,000 miles on the clock what should I do?

Any suggestions would be great. Does anyone know how to do the 6.0 swap? Who sells a tricked out 6.0l motor? Or 5.3? How much?

Thanks-

Sorry to hear about the Dreaded #7cylinder ..
You have tonnes of options with a rebuild you could forge out the bottme end on it and crank up the boost on that baby
you could do a 6L swap which is realtivly easy from what i understand
well what it boils down to is how much Cash do you have to throw at it ?
is it your daily driver ?
If it is streetablity would be a concern and going to radical on a rebuild/ new engine might not help
Either way you'll need a copy of LS1 edit to tune anything you put in.
There are lots of good engine builders to your right all depends on time and money you have
Keep us posted on what you end up doing.
good luck

Jim

Damn #7 cylinder. Alot of the problems you hear about are with #7. I wonder if it's some sort of problem with the intake design?

Jim pretty much summed things up. <img border="0" title="" alt="[Smile]" src="gr_stretch.gif" />

I am also selling the supercharger- 1750 delivered.
