How wide can you go?

How wide of a tire can you fit front and back without haveing any rubbing problems? I have some 275/75/17 off of a denali now. ($300 for rims and tires, how can I not)

I've done some measuring recently and it looks like you could fit up to a 315 in the back if you had the right backspacing but, it would be out past the edge of the fender ever so slightly which might not look good. The 305 Nittos I'm looking at will probably be just inside the fender. I didn't break out a string line though just eyeballed it with a measuring tape.
I don't know about the fronts but, I currently have a 265/70?/16 up there with no problems. Those Denali wheels are hoss' though. They're almost 3" taller and a 1/2" wider. I can check my frame clearance at full steering lock tomorrow and get back with ya.
Or
Test'em and find out. If they don't fit sell'em for twice what you paid. <img border="0" title="" alt="[Big Grin]" src="gr_grin.gif" />

john,
are you talking about the 305 555r's, if so, be sure and post pics if you get them, i've always wondered how'd they look on a NBS gm truck, on the L's they look good. i wonder if traction is good.

you are right BigTex. I was going off memory.
The tires are on my truck now and look good. However they make it look like a 4x4 being taller than stock. Don't get me wrong they work beter than the stock setup in every way. I was just looking for some wider (lower profile) tires afew company have some 315 that may look nice, but 315 is very fat and may not fit right on the rim or truck. any thoughts???
