Default z71 with headers?

Anybody running a z71 with headers? I gotta 2004 Silverado crew cab and its a z71 obviously. but I bought some cal speed headers CalSpeed & Performance Stainless Steel 1-3/4" Long Tube Headers for 99-08 Silverado. They were on an 08 Crew Cab. 2wd. I talked to a guy in my area and he said he could get them to fit with a little modifications. Should I go ahead and do that or just sell them and buy new ones?

i got 2wd long tubes on my z71.. only problem i had was the front drive shaft ujoint. i had to heat the header up some and bend it to give the drive shaft room to spin for whenever i put it in 4wd.. mines great, runs good, sounds good, and produces good.. your choice i guess

If you search around on here, you'll find that with just about any header, it's hit or miss on whether or not they will have issues with 4WD.
