By the way, if your friend is just after a glory dyno he could probably get a higher HP number with smaller cubic inches and spinning the crap out of the Whipple

what he wants is a bulletproof 1000HP motor.

that vertualy Imposible with the specs he wants. using a supercharger wont get him there unless its a 2.9+

I told him that 800hp with that supercharger is more than enough

he wants to go from a bolt on Denali with less than 500 flywheel HPs to 1000 flywheel HP

and he wants to drive it like the 500hp motor, just not gonna happen

his budget is arround 8500$ for the long block , and another 500-1000 is for shiping

he also needs at least 400lph pump to keep hes presure at a good point with some 85lbs injectors, he also needs a bigger oil line somthing like -8 AN and I dont know about the whipple fuel rails.

the closest thing to hes budget and needs is a 408 CI iron block motor

any body have a better suggestion ?

Ok, I apologize for my first post pointed to you, he didn't mentioned that he is limited with the funds.

As mentioned before If he want something better than the Aluminum block then LSX blocks are the way to go. His blower alone will not take him to his goal alone because it will reach its max efficiency while he still at 800hp park, bigger blower is a must like the 2900 and with the LS3 block he can be around his goal based on the motor set up.

Simply answer, 1000hp SUV is not a DD, yeah if it was a turbo set up yes you can lower the boost and go but with the blower it is hard to do it.

Put a reasonable goal, you can reach it and make you happy.

Tell him its not going to happen with a huge blower and still be daily driveable. Cant have your cake and eat it too, with just a blower anyway.

I still like my idea of a 427 with a 500 shot.

Had that...not as fun as you would think, unless you just want to do burnouts and not actually go anywhere

Hate to say it ( I went 2300 Maggie), but if he's looking for that kind of power he only has three choices - 1.Big Whipple like on the COPO Cameros. 2. Kenne Bell or 3. Turbo

Im not understanding why he wants this to be a 1000hp daily driver and without any problems?!?!?!?!?!?! Just seems kind of silly, no offense. Might as well just throw a 6.6 duramnax diesel engine in the denali.......That was a joke

Thank you all for helping me,
I think TSP 408 C.I.D. LQ9 Long-Block is the best choice to my Denali.

What is the things that come with the long block for exmple pulley, water pump and Coils etc... and on 10-14psi how much nitrous can I push in this engine?

Excellent idea?
Thanks to all...

1000hp with a 427 lq9? lol yea right, you need a 6 bolt block to guarentee those heads dont lift under load. not to mention a trans build by god himself.

dont listen to these "i believe guys" find someone that has done it.

lq9 wont do it
