Default Yet another PR thread... I know

Well it's not about what length I need but am I on the right track... Well here's the specs: TSP 220 114 cam ls7 lifters 243 milled .025 stock valves and stock .051 thickness gaskets stock rockers and dual crane cam springs.

After checking using the comp cam pr checker I'm getting 12 turns with no preload now that puts me at 7.4 exactly no preload and 7.475 with preload. My question is should the length be shorter than stock length since the heads been milled? Or is it the other way around?

I would have expected a shorter length than 7.475" for sure! How did you measure?

I too would have expected much shorter. My setup is similar and I'm running 7.325" pushrods to get me around 0.075" preload.

Make sure the cylinder you are measuring has the piston at TDC....although think if it were anywhere else it would read shorter than you need, not longer...

I think I might have found my problem I think I may have been putting a load on the lifters when I was measuring now I'm getting 7.35
