It comes with a Melling m295 pump, oil pickup tube with o ring pre-installed, all of the gaskets and a new pcv hose and valve. So far I need to transfer over crankshaft, camshaft sensors, oil pan, valley cover, intake manifold, timing cover and valve covers. Work will begin in earnest tomorrow and hopefully firing up sometime on thursday if I can get my tune from Nelson Performance (fingers crossed!)

Which oil pan goes with the pickup tube they installed? Did they install the back cover around crank? Good luck with the install.

Back cover around the crank is installed. AFAIK the oil pump tube is the truck one. I'll know for sure this afternoon.

Planning this exact motor in a 2000 rcsb Z71. Really anxious to hear your thoughts and any snags you might hit.

So far I have the long tubes,trans,3200 stall,40k cooler, efans, bigger rad,4/6 drop kit, later model bigger brakes and no time or place to work on it. Have been debating what injectors this will need and intake. Any plans there for you?

Thanks for posting this!

It's the truck pickup tube.

Engine is in!! I had a few set backs like not putting gaskets on the coolant pipes that sit on the valley cover and I broke off a quick disconnect on the heater hose....fun stuff like that. I still need to put the 8.1l injectors into the manifold, prime the engine, and swap the PCM when my tune from Nelson Performance comes. So I'm hoping Friday I will be able to fire it up!! Here are a few pics:

Hope you don't mind a few questions?

Are you using the standard 8.1 injectors or the marine injectors?

Using the fuel rails from the tbss intake?

What size/brand is the throttle body?

Will be curious to hear how it idles?

Thanks!
