Default Yet another 4.8 to 6.o question

I have a 1999 RCSB with a 4.8 and original nv3500 5 speed. I'm looking to do an lq9 swap later this year. My question is since the donor engine will be coming out of a truck with an automatic transmission and mine is factory manual will is cause any problems or extra work for the wiring harness or anything else? I know most say the swap is "plug and play" but the 1999 5 speed manual is kind of an odd year and combo so I figured there may be some more obsticles I run into than others. Thanks for any guidance.

Use your intake manifold, flywheel, and clutch on the 6.0, boom problem solved.

You will need to install a pilot bearing too.

Direct swap still. Consider doing Clutch/flywheel combo......youll be right there

That transmission will hate the 6.0, or you will hate the 6.0 getrag combo....then you can upgrade to a T56!

Thanks a ton. Sounds like it won't be too much of a headache. T56 will definitely be coming in the future. I'll just have to baby the nv3500 until I get the funds.

NVM handle power just fine. Just don't try shifting it fast and bend the clutch fork

If I'm using the same flywheel and clutch will I still need a new pilot bearing?

Yes, the pilot bearing goes into the crankshaft.
