Default yay for questions!!

Well I am planning on gonig the efan setup on my 04' 4.8. My question...be it im to lazy to run a togle switch I want a Tune from Nelson. I dont want the 93. b/c yea...I like power..but I also like to not pay for gas every 10 mins haha. So I am thinkng about the lowest octane rating Tune. Question is, with the efans and the tune. Will I see much of a difference in power? and How much do his Tunes usually cost. I really am just donig the tune so that the pcm will control my fans. But hey...im sure Ill get some power out of the tune as well. Any info would be the cool Thx

I think the tune for your truck is 425, the harness is like 90 bucks. You can get him to do a dual tune which will be like a 89/93 tune so whatever gas you put in, it will adjust accordingly.

Pay for gas every 10 minutes? I have a 89/91 octane dual tune and I saw a 1-1.5 mpg gain. It is only about $3 difference between a tank of 87 and 93.
I want to say I paid 4-420 for the tune. I can't remember exactly but his prices are posted on his web site. I did see a difference in power over the Predator I had before and a major difference over stock. I just did the ls1 fans and I noticed more power in the lower to mid range rpms.

I kno lol, I was just kidding..but honestly I have a lead foot so. Even if I got 50 mpg....Id still get gas everyday haah. But yea Im reallly digin the Dual Tune thing. Sounds lreally nice. Not rly looking for be a fast truck but, I kno the efan mod is jsut an all around good one to do and a tune wont hurt either so. Hopefully Ill atleast be a 16. ? sec. truck and ill be happy with that haha. I jsut need to get paid now =/.

My mother in law and I got in an argument over this a few days ago. Filling up with 20 gals is only $4 more for premium. IMO its worth $4 every 300-350 miles ( I have 4WD) for the extra power.
Also with the e-fans you will gain mpg's probably with the tune also. So its almost like your mods paying for the difference in gas.

Now if I could just get my mods to pay my note.....

Default My Experiance With E-Fans...

... I installed on my 03 was a 2 - 2.5 mpg improvement in in the light to light summer heat city driving and an honest 1 mpg highway.
From light to light my OE fan clutch would hook up and roar almost all the way to the next light, freeing up just before having to stop again. A real gas eater. I could feel the AC cool a bit better after moving some so the OE fan at idle was not enough to cool the condenser. We are talking about the high humidity and 95+ temps here in GA.
After installing the Flex-A-Lites my city driving mpg soared and the AC stayed ice cold all the time. She felt a bit more perky off the line too. Kicking it down to pass on the highway was abit improved and the mpg went up a tad.

Yea I can honestly say I picked up 2-3 mpg with the LS1 fans. I didn't wire up the relay to the a/c at first though big mistake. when you first started the truck it was like a sauna till you started moving. Damn r134a tree happy crap.
