Yes.. well said and I agree completely.....

BUT, on the other hand this is how I see it:

I have somewhere in the ballpark of 400rwhp as we speak, and I have the 4l60e tranny on my truck. I know for a fact that the TB convertor or similar unit like the Daaco will withstand much more power than the actual tranny itself.

I simple see no reason to polish a turd in the fisrt place. That's why I refuse to throw a ton of $$$ out there on a convertor when I figure I'm probably going to blow this tranny out anyways.... see where I am comming from?

the tb stalls have not been used long enough by people on this site to know whether or not they will fail, or be good over time

i read a SSS going 12 sec's when his tranny failed and no issues to the TB stall, but why dont you go look at the automatic seciton here, people have failures with aftermarket converters all the time, just because you pay for a better part dosent always mean you will get a better product.

i payed for 2 already and have had failures on both, customer service has been excellent though.

True just because its aftermarket doesnt mean its going to last but at least you have the warranty to fall back on. GM wont warranty the tb stall. And chris99gmc i see your point now that i have gone through the tranny rebuilding process and seen how much it costs to rebuild a 60e properly i would definately gone with the 80e instead but the 60e's are still good for moderate levels of hp. Its all in what you feel is a good deal Im not trying to start a pissing match I just wanted to simply state that a man that has been rebuilding tranny's for forever said that it wasnt a wise decision thats all and maybe make some people think twice before taking the cheap way out and getting the tb stall.

Question

Who holds the money anyways????????
I don't think I will just give it to one of you guys. How exactly does this group purchase work. I get that if you get 12 buyers the price is discounted a hundred dollars or so.
I just want to know who is getting my money from my hands??
Then where exactly does the Yank converted go? To you or my house directly from Yank??

Jim
