anyone have any links to tranny coolers?...I guess i would just have to cap off the holes in the radiator somehow and just use rubber hose to run upto the new tranny cooler?...

ebay has some nice ones....on hooking it up you just undo the top line from the rad and run it to the new cooler with a couplink or whatever...
then on the other side on the new cooler run it to the rad hole.
This way it runs everything thru the rad and the new cooler giving you twice the cooling and keeping the tranny nice and content.

On mine all that's needed is to adapt the lines from the stock HD cooler to the new cooler. It's a really simple swap.

The only reason to not go through the radiator any more is if you live in a warm climate. The radiator tank is not only a cooler, but it warms up the trans fluid on cold days as well. It's not so much a cooler as it is a temp stabilizer to warm it up on cold mornings, but still keep it below over temp range. The factory installs them because cold fluid will shift harder than it's meant to and hard cold weather shifts tick off the NVH police (NVH = Noise, Vibration, Harshness). You will have to use your own judgement as to whether or not you should bypass yours.
