I broke mine in just like the instruction sheet said.It rained the day I had mine installed so I did'nt have much temptation. The break-in time also gave the computer time to learn when to lock and unlock the convertor.

My instructions said 150 miles of varied driving. Basically, you want the trans to go in and out of converter lockup so it will properly break in the converter.

the instructions I got said to lock and unlock the converter at various speeds in various gears for about 75 miles. Then just 200 miles of regular varied speed driving.
Then you can hammer it and toast some tires

i know this is against the grain around here but the only thing i have ever broken in is rings(and a cam if not a roller). i gave mine a couple of trips around the block and then full throttle, same for the tranny. i hear about these break in cycles some people do and if i did all the stuff they did for every part i would never get to beat on my truck.
i am not recomending you do it the way i do, just telling you how i do it.

Gotta go with Parish on this one. The brother-n-law is a career GM tranny tech and he says you can drive it like you stole it right after you put it in.

thanks guys. All I was really worried about was the clutches, (I suppose there are clutches or a clutch for the lock up part of the stall?) getting broken in. Well I got 50 miles on it. I will probably go to 100 to be safe and then
