Default Yank 3200 stall converter

Does anyone have the Yank 3200 stall converter?
If so how much 1/4mile time/speed did you gain?
They claim its worth 1/2 a sec. if so, thats worth it, that like a 100shot worth of N20.
I dont tow with the truck so loss in towing capability is not an issue, but 750 bucks for the converter is.???????????????????????????????????????????

Very well worth it and you will get a 1/2 drop in et at least. Wait for a sale from one of our site sponsors (Tbyrne or Yank is having one soon I hear) before getting one. Later this summer, I will be getting a Truck Thruster 3000.

Maximumboom, I would recommend the Yank Truck Thruster 2600 for you. You are going to have plenty of torque with the magna, so it will flash to at least 2800 RPMs. You will end up with 1000 RPMs over stock (stock is 1600), still have great driveability, and could tow something w/ no problems.

I only got .3 with my yank 3200. Maybe I have a dud...Slows you down in the 1/4 as well. I went from a 14.22 @ 96 to 13.91 @ 94.45.

white....it is somewhat normal to lose mph due to a converter. If you want to fix this, get a manual lock up switch for your truck. The same type people use on the f-bodies. This will allow you to lock up the converter in 3rd gear at a desired rpm and it will help out your mph and et a little. main thing though...is that it will boost the mph back up.

What does it meant to lockup in 3rd? I always see people talking about it but I have no idea what it means. Thanks, Kent.

I have plans to remove my converter from my truck this weekend. It just so happens to be a Yank 3200. I am not sure about the milage on it at the moment, but I would guess around 8-10k. Most of that being on the highway since I'm lucking and dont have to drive in traffic everyday. <img border="0" title="" alt="[Wink]" src="gr_images/icons/wink.gif" />

I will be selling it for $400, and will most likely have it checked out by Ross House her in Houston before I sell it. I have not had any problems with the converter and it did make a drastic improvement on my truck. But it is coming to a time where billing companies have decided to try and screw me. So money is in need at the moment since I am still wanting to get rid of the truck soon and replace it with a C5.

It acutally "locks-up" the converter so it dosn't "slip" like converters do.

Can't you actually use programming to achieve lockup without using a manual lockup?
