My truck is mostly stock with a few mods (look at sig). If I installed the same cam as the OP used would the valve springs & pushrods be the only changes I would need to make? Would my stock converter be good? I don't have a tune, would I need one after the cam install?

This is a good mild cam for a dd. The stock converter work and you could use the same tune. But a retune will net more power. And even a stock truck will be so much better with a 2600 rpm converter.

Depending on your mileage you may want to do the cam first. If you put a torque converter in a higher mileage trans and the trans fails, You may ruin the converter. At the very least, it would need to be cut open and inspected. If you plan on having the trans gone through, I would wait until then to do the converter.
The up side to this cam is that it still works well on a stock converter.

My truck is a 2004, but it is just now getting close to 27,000 miles. The trans should be ok I hope, lol!
BTW, even with the low miles on my engine would I still need to install new valve springs & pushrods with the cam?

Alright, it got late so I didn't throw any revs or anything but this is just the truck idling so you can hear what the small lope sounds like. It was recorded from about 5 feet behind the truck. The exhaust is a custom 2 magnaflow muffler setup in series, single 3" otherwise the vid is pretty self explanatory.

I just try to ask about that cam from low lift and high lift. From my understanding for high lift is high rpm around 6400 and low lift go past 6000 rpm. Which is good for n/a motor and later boost. I noctied lot of people run low lift.
