X-pipe is used on true dual exhaust
Y-pipe is used for single or single to split exhaust.

More than likely you already have a Y from the factory. Are you planning on removing the catalytic converters, running long tube headers? What are your future mods and goals?
Use the search feature, there was a thread not long ago about the differences between single and dual exhaust.
