thanks, I'm debating on what to do next.........keep it a 5.3 or go bigger, that damn short block staring at me is soooooo tempting

like I said before ..I'm not gonna say who's spring it is until I find out what the manufacturer does about it, I don't wanna start an epidemic.

Anyone explain this. I just put 918's in my 6.0 in April and don't remember the color of the springs. I tried to find something on comps site after reading these posts but haven't been able to find anything "official".

That should tell you or lead you to all you need to know about the comp cams 918 replacement deal going on. Sounds like you probably have the older style that are made of a dark metal material with a paint stripe on the side. Most likely they will replace them for you free of charge to avoid possible breakage. The new ones are a nice almost shiny light colored metal and have a higher lift rating.

thanks for the props! I never got it to a dyno...but it ran a 13.92@96mph with traction issues...so close to 370hp maybe??

I'd like to see what you would run without travction issues. Low 13s prolly.

low 13's .........maybe fastest n/a 5.3 EC if I don't go with more cubes when I go back together, I haven't made my mind up yet though.
