hey buddy mine did this the other day now that i remember.i looked at the dash and the ses light would not even come on.i had to turn the key on and off a couple of times and then let it sit for a few minutes. then when i turned the key on again the ses light came on and there it was.

 

that same thing happened to mine i tried to reset my computer but i forgot to uninstall my HPP3 and well when i realized that i hadnt uninstalled it i tried to crank it and i had to pump the gas and push the brake... so all u have to do is uninstall the HPP3 and reinstall it and then it will be fine .... well all of that works if u even have a programmer..... lol

 

well i bet it is something to do with the programming b/c i just reread the forum... lol .... so yeah that is basically the prob i had when i was sending the wrong info the the comp...i know what i am talking bout but it is not coming out clear ... it is the pcm

 

so i guess i have to send the pcm back

 

Could it be something with the converter locking up at low speed? (kinda like stalling out a standard) That just poped in my head since you said it runs with you foot on the break. Try getting up to speed while barely toughing the break then let off to see if the rpms drop down as the converter locks.

 

Is it idleing low? Who did the PCM?

 

it idles fine in neutral and park and when you put it in drive and hold the brake and it goes it idles badly and wants to die but if i hold the brake it is fine. As for who did the programming it was ed wright. I think it is the pcm.

 

maybe your torque converter is locking up when you drop it into gear, do you have the tools to check that out?

 

see i don't think it is the converter because when i got the pcm reprogrammed on the 5.3 it did the same thing for a little while. then he had to redo it. then it would only do once in a full moon per say.

 

ok well I got the pcm back and they said that they could not find any problem with. Well i put the pcm back in and it is still doing the same thing. I am at my wits ends and about to put the truck in the trash can any body PLEASE help.
