Default WTB - 6.0 L exhaust manifolds & Ypipe

I know this should be in the classifieds, but it makes more sense to be in this area.

I have read that the 6.0 L y pipe was a bit bigger/higher flowing than any other... I'd like to use these manifolds/y pipe on my 5.3 install on my Jeep.

Let me know if you can help me out

The 6.0 does not have a Y pipe. Each exhaust manifold pipe goes into the muffler. They have a 2 in/ 2 out setup. The Y is after the pipes exit the rear of the muffler. There may be another design that came on the early 6.0's but not the 2000 and later's that I have seen. And yes, they are larger. 2-3/4" I think, might be 3".

Hey dude, just a suggestion. You could get some 6.0 shorty headers, and get a custom down pipe, because I think you will have a lot of clearance issues if you try to get a truck Y pipe to fit.

Thanks for the info & ideas guys. I have a 2 different sets of LS1 exhaust manifolds, but the Y pipes for those are really restrictive. The general layout looks like it could fit though. The Jeep actually looks like it has a decent amount of room for me to fit some pipes.

I'd appreciate any other ideas, or if people have some pictures of the stock pieces..?

Might be a better post in the hybrid section, but I figured going to the truck crowd right away would be easiest <img border="0" title="" alt="[Wink]" src="gr_images/icons/wink.gif" />

Thanks
