Yes series = one after another. Parallel = side by side separate supply separate feeds.

Is hooking two 044s in parallel going to do what for me? I'm after the volume more than I am the pressure.

I never understood running pumps in series; you are still always restricted by the volume the pump can flow. Just now it sees a lower pressure so it flows slightly more, but not near the same as twice the pumps flow at the higher pressure like in a parallel setup. If you want volume, do them in parallel.

Thats what I was thinking but there are so many people saying run a smaller in tank pump and a big external pump it had me wondering what two external pumps of the same size in series would do. So two 044s in parallel it is.

im doing a surge tank setup with dual 044's are we speak, will turn out to be a KILLER once its done, thats a promise LOL but Im still debating the whole dual pumps vs one single pump, so if it fails I know. This way if one pump fails ill probably lean out and blow something up.

I'm trying to decide if it would be a good idea to have separate relays and fuses for each pump that way if one did fail it wouldn't pull the other down with it or pop the fuse.

If your going to do that make sure to incorporate warning less in the dash. You wouldn't want to be at full boost when you find out one of your pumps is dead.

I would run a fuse and a relay per pump. Can trigger the relays with a single switch.
You runnin a fuel pressure gauge?

Thats what I was thinking. Just use the grey wire to turn two fuel pump relays on, one per 044 pump. I plan on running a gauge inside to a pod.
