Question Would this cam be right?

I'm thinking of buying Cammin Beast's cam, 218/222 .567/.574 113 +3, with 918's and 7.40 hardened pushrods(all new). What kind a power increase am I looking at. Would this be alright for a daily driver? Or what about a 224/224 .581/.581, with Comp 978 dual springs (all used)?
About $250 difference in price between the two.
I'll probably have to get a stall right, is a Yank 3000 ok?, maybe a shift kit and a servo.
And would either of these be alright with a Radix, gonna get one next summer.

Thanks in advance,
Caylon

My truck is an '04 EC vho(6.0). I think the LSA on the 224 cam is 112.

Those cams are fine, but if you're going to be running boost, I recommend keeping the LSA around 114+. The lift numbers are kinda high for stock LQ4 heads, but I understand that's only what's out there .

I would go with the 218/222 because of the LSA and I think the 224's lift is a little too much. Plus I'm not to fond of buying used valvetrain parts...unless you really know where they've been. JMO.

Oh yeah, there are other cams out there....just do a search and see what most 6.0 guys are using.

you can get that cam in either a 112 LSa or a 114LSA

There ya go. Isn't the TR 224 like around .560-ish lift. That's a lot better for your heads than the 224 cam specs you posted. I know Lunati's is .560" but it only comes in a 112LSA. Get the 114 TR224, that would be good for a daily driver for sure.

I'll look for a TR224 with a lsa of 114. Would the 218 from my first post be good for a daily driver? I mean with all that's included the price isn't bad-$500 or is it?

Thanks,
Caylon

Talking

the 224 cam will work great. just put springs on it. and yay if you are goiing to go boost those cams i dont think will help much. you can go to and a little above 600 with these heads with no problem. i would think more about the boost situation before throwing in a cam.
