Default The workings of elctric fans

I understand the reason for everyone zwitching over to elctric fans. The questions I have have not been answered in any other theared that i have looked at. Can I get a explanation oif when to use elctrics fans, stop and go traffic, high way driving conditions like htat. What kind of wiring do I need to look for. I am going to take the time and do it right the first time so I am just trying to make sure all my bases are covered and I undersstand when I need turn on and off the elctric fans all the info would be greatly apprecieated
and sorry about the spelling

The simplest way to do it would be with pre-determined fan turn-on and off temps, and to have fan operation when the ac compressor engages, to cool the ac condenser and keep the ac system pressures where they belong.

If you want to get more exact and technical, you can use ac pressures to turn the condenser fan(s) on/off, and possibly find a way to turn the fans off when you're at highway speeds and the airflow across the radiator is adequate enough that electric fan operation is not necessary. There is info floating around here about what is necessary to run a two pin e-fan harness and the tuning necessary for the condenser fan operation, but I'm not sure if anyone has figured out a way to have the fans shut off over a certain mph. You could always wire in a manual switch to defeat the fans when you're cruising on the highway, just don't forget about it when you slow down!

That is what I was thinking. My friend has a Dodge dakota and I was talking to him about it. And he personally likes haveing complete control over the fan because when he is sitting in traffic he will turn those baby's on and it will start to cool down.
