i have the lt1 fans ready to install and am trying to decide how to do it. i know everyone hates talking about it BUT, i'm gonna ask anyways. i was just wondering if it would hurt to have one on a constant power source that is on when the ignition is on. and the other on a switch. when i bought them they didn't come with relay or harness or anything and i was thinking about doing it that way unless anyone has any better ideas.

My friend installed LT1 fans on his 99 GMC this past weekend. He just ran the wiring to the fuse panel and found a fuse that had power with the key. so both of his fans come on with the key. The truck runs cooler now than it did before but he plans to hook one fan up to the a/c compresor since it doesnt seem to need both fans all the time. Hope this helps some.

There are only two wires on the compressor, power and ground. Ground is black, power I think is green. You will want to use a relay though, don't try to wire the fans directly to the AC compressor or you will blow it up.

If you wire them separate, I suggest useing a 30a relay on each fan for power and rune one that will be completly manual to the batt with a 25a fuse. Also I would use 10g wire for the power runs and 16 for the switch runs.
