Will it work 6.0 milled heads

Im a fan of stock bottoms. I would get a stock bottom lq4 if you insist on using your 243 heads.
317 heads are cheap and have the same flow characteristics as a 243 with less compression. You can probably sell the 243 for 400 and pick up 317 for 200 and come out even

It could be rebuilt by some middle school drop out on meth that doesnt understand how to read a measuring tape lol. Oem factory untouched bottoms are known to last forever. Unfortunately my experience on rebuilt motors from professional shops hasnt been great...

Maybe I missed some information but other than milling what oter work has been done to the heads? Bigger Valves? Ect?
With our CNC program and milling we can clear a 228r 600/600 on a 6.0 with heads milled 35 thousandths.
With heads milled that far I would definitely check to PTV before you take any advice from anyone. Motors vary, so your best best is to measure and see what you can come up with.

Me either, across a number of platforms I play with. Every time I build a motor, it lasts less time lol

keep me posted on how well it runs please

that's very true I may just end up looking for a lower mileage 6.0. What about lq9 vs lq4 if I run my heads the only difference would be the pistons ?

I honestly dont feel the price difference between the 2 on the used market is worth finding an LQ9 over a 4, plus, 9's are getting harder to find in decent shape.
They made more 4's, but more went into neglected work trucks than anything else.
Best I can say is buy a motor from a rolled or rear-ended truck. Denali, Escalade, 2500/3500, 06 LTZ (?) Suburban, etc.
In short, buy what you can find, for the price you want to pay, in the condition you want. A cam and milled heads settles all the differences with a good tune, IMO
