Talking Will This Work? Whipple Question!

I have the opportunity to buy a complete Whipple SC of a guys 2000 Tahoe. I am just wondering if it will work on my 2002 Silverado? I don't think tuning will be a problem, I will just have to contact Allen for that. I was just wondering about the EGR and other things that are different from a 2000 and a 2002. Is there any thing else I should know about the Whipples?

I am going to have BOOST! I was going to try to stay NA for as long as I could, but I can't pass up the deal this guy is giving me.

my 2002 5.3 has a single belt pully design. im not 100 percent, but i think the 2000 were a 2 belt design. i think they came with a add on crank pully that drove the supercharger using a seperate belt. my 02 uses the same belt to drive everything, whipple, alternator, waterpump, etc.
however, im fairly sure it can be modified to work with a little elbow grease.
Congrats on your new purchase if you descide to invest.

I am confused?! My 2002 has two belts. One runs the AC and the other runs every thing else.

Correct me if im wrong, but it sounds like he is talking about having one designated belt to run the SC, and the regular serpentine belt runs everything else, except the AC since it has its own belt

yes my bad,, i didnt count the ac belt. but everyone should have that. whipple refers to them as the single belt system, and the 2 belt system. or thats at least what the yaa whos told me at whipple.

OK, so I will either have one belt for AC, one for the SC and one for every things else, or one for AC and one for every thing else including the SC. Right? I won't know till the guy calls me back to what one it is.

right, here is what id do, ask him to measure how big the pully is, and how far the bolt holes for the pully are from the center hole. the single belt system should have around a 4 and 3/8ths pully and the bolt hole should about 1 inch from bolt hole to center, or 2 inches across (bolt hole to bolt hole) the 2 belt system is alot small, around a 3 1/4 pullly (i think, but i know its close) and the bolt holes are closer together too. hope this helps ya out!

Great I will ask him. So I need the 2 belt system, right, But I can use the 1 belt system too, with some modifications, or does it even matter?
