Exclamation Will TNT F-1 kit work with FIPK or similar????

I asked this in the N20 section before but any of you who have spent time in there know the truck guys dont get any respect! Does anyone have or know if the TNT-F1 kit(power ring) will fit with the FIPK or similar intake? I know the fan canbe shaved but there isnt much to shave. Anyone with this setup or knows of someone with it help me out please!

thats a good question. i think with a good peice of hose like the one that is on the intake from a hyd hose shop will allow it to work.

On my TA, I had to go with custom flexible hosing because the lid/maf/accordian hose wouldn't fit. If the FIPK is like my volant then it is a very tight/snug fit. Mine turns right before the TB and fits right in - I don't see how it would work.

Another question - new to the truck forum so... Is the TB the same size as an LS1's (TA or Z'). My F1 power ring is machined to fit my TB snugly - have to bang it off. If a truck TB is smaller or bigger then this would create another problem.

TNT makes a nice kit - I like how mine runs. Although, I've had a few headaches with that power ring. If I had it to do over I would have just gotten a NX kit. If your FIPK is hard plastic like my Volant then you could just drill holes in the side of it for the nozzles. Piece of cake. Why even mess with the TNT.

The truck TB is the same as the F-body....same size, shape, and bolt pattern

I think the new fipk has more flex to it. You might try one of those.

It will work with the K&N intake.

I had the TNT kit with LS1 electric fans and the K&N Intake and didn't have any issues. You may have to trim off just a little from your plastic intake cover in order to clear the silonoids though.
