Well, forever planning my LQ9 project (since "planning" is all I can afford to do right now lol), and I just want to make sure that I have the right injectors for my set-up. The injectors are the 31lb 8.1 injectors (I bought them a long time ago for a great price), the cam is going to be the Vinci 220/224 .551/.551 114, and the heads are WCCH StageII 317's. I've read that the injectors actually flow 29.9 (KB racing posted that info)...will they work and have an acceptable duty cycle? Thanks!

a buddy of mine has the marine 8.1l in his 6.0 with a 224/224 cam and his IDC is like 76-78, so since your adding worked heads I think you will be pushing it with regular 8.1s.... Spend the extra 25-50 bucks and get the marines....

I had a feeling that it would be close, the heads might just put me over the edge. Thing is, I already have the 31's...guess I could always sell them and upgrade if I had to. I could live with 80-85% IDC...BlackGMC, are your buddy's heads worked?

Nope they are stock 317s, just milled a little bit. BTW he is a member on here, dlt76028...

I have a cheapo scan tool but it doen't do IDC
But I do plan to get a BlackBear tune when I do the swap, so I can do some logging and see what Justin says. This whole project is a while away, but you know how it is, I like to have my ducks in a row

people run around 400rwhp on stock 28lb inj in f-body. I think you will be just fine. You will be at the limit though, so you will have to upgrade to the 42s if you want to go any past what you have planned now.
