Default will i be able to crank my truck after the radix install?

i was wondering if id be able to crank it without any tuning. i will be trailering it 3 hours to get it dyno tuned, but i will need to crank it and let it warm up at idle to check for leaks, taping, etc. will this be safe or should i get the tuner that comes with the radix? i hope i dont have to because ive already paid for this place to dyno tune it.

As long as you dont start it and hold it to the floor I think you will be fine. Dont put any boost to it and it should idle ok.

The Radix has bigger injectors and you will be extremely rich. It will crank and run but not well. There is a chance of damaging the O2's with it running extremely rich. It may possibly be too rich for the computer to adjust itself to a tollerable level. If you have the time i'd swap the stock injectors onto the radix unit for the warm-up.
I'm assuming you bought it used otherwise it comes with a tune i'd load in until the dyno tune.

well i bought it new but thought i could save a little money by not getting the tuner because i was having it dyno tuned. do you think it will hurt it to idle for around 3-4 minutes on the big injectors?

Mine started up just fine, but you could tell it was real rich. I had to back my truck out of the shop I was using, and into a parking spot....Mag sent me the wrong tune, and it wouldn't load. I wouldn't chance driving it anywhere, but you CAN just start it to check for leaks, and stuff. IMHO though, I would get the tune Mag supplies, and make sure everything runs ok on the street, at WOT, idle do some driving, and make sure there's no issues. It's a LOT harder to help diagnose possible problems if there's already too many mods.

As mentioned, you can start the truck but it's not going to run to good. The computer is programmed for the stock injectors. There will be alot more fuel pouring into the cylinders. There usually isn't a problem after the install but I can see you not wanting to find out after the truck gets to the shop to be tuned.

Id save the cash from the dynotune and just tune it yourself. Dynotunes aren't all that good for anything but a baseline and WOT.
