will a 6.0 swap get me there?

yeah that was what i was thinking it is excab and 4wd so i was kind of surprised to hear the 5.3 could do it but i guess i will order the headers anyway they will work on 6.0 also won't they

thanks for info on 17/8s headers that in what i will order in the next few days i thought that they would be alittle big for 5.3 for bottom end but the 4.56 gears should make up for that and it should be a beast up top. i got new msd wires and race bullet muffler plugs and nelson mail order tune to install as soon as the headers arive so i hope that makes a difference until i can find a good 6.0 hopefully lq9

I'm confused lol. If it's a rcsb, then a fbo 5.3 with a good stall and gears will definitely get you in the 12's. If it is an ecsb, the 6.0 should get you there. A 3600-4000 stall will help immensely, and gears would be a solid addition to get it strolling off the line. Good luck!

going to keep 5.3 going and see what i can get out of it while i start shoping for a good lq9 or lq4 i figure most parts will swap over from one engine to the other as far as wires go i have 110.000 on the ones in truck so just though it was time

No matter which way you go it's gonna be tough. You want to pick up 4 seconds that's not easy. You gonna stay na?? If so your gonna have to do intake heads cam stall gears and pray lol. It's not that easy your gonna drop some money. It's diff if your gonna throw a snail on there. I have a 6.0 cam converter headers tune and a few other bolt on's. I haven't run yet but assuming it's mid 13. It's not an easy take with 5500lbs
