I've found a 2003 6.0 for $1500 and thinking about getting it if everything will work. My question is will it work in my 2000 truck? I know the throttle is electronic and that 03's dont have egr would that be a problem? I figure i can swap my throttle and cable over to the new motor but what about the egr? Are all the sensors the same is there anything else thats different i should know about?

 

yes it will work just use your intake and t/b and everything else should be the same. but there will be more that have done this that will chime in i hope lol later, kevin

 

Is that a complete engine with accessories? Just drop it in?

I would assume its complete it has 8k miles on it. They are closed today so i might go and look at it tomorrow, they also have a 99 6.0 with 65k on it for $900. I would like to do away with the EGR if i drop the 03 motor in, will it work?
