Default Why LPP or Pacesetters

Why is it that a majority of the truck in here use either LPP or Pacesetter LT? Just wondering why? Is it a best bang for your buck thing. I always thought Hooker was a good brand but nobody seems to use them at least not on 99-up silverados. Any feed back is well appreciated
