Default Why can't I smoke my tires?

Ok, so I have the Whipple with 8lbs boost. I ditched the whipple computer, added the 43lb injectors and got a new tune from Nelsonperformance. The truck seems to go pretty good, but, I can't spin the tires. From a dead stop, it I floor it, it hesitates for a second then they spin for about 2 seconds. If I try to powerbrake it, it totally bogs out and they don't spin at all. Anyone have a guess?

Is it in 4x4 ???......

If I powerbrake my relatively stock 6.0 will just destroy my 285/50-20's....from a dead stop it'll spin 'em for about 50 feet or so just by mashing the pedal

Oh, I forgot to mention. Before i installed the larger injectors and got rid of the whipple computer, i used to lay long, black patches at will.

Sounds like your tune sucks then.....your probably running pig-rich at low RPM (that bog you described when powerbraking REALLY makes me think that)

hefdaddy007....if you've got a 4.8 that'll smoke the tires in 4wd I WANT IT !!!!!....even parish8 with 500+ hp can't do that (well, he can't do it for very long anyway).....mine will only just barely break the fronts loose (no spinning...just a chirp) at a WOT takeoff

Do you have TM removed? My 4.8 will spin a little on certain surfaces at certain temperatures but nothnig like a burnout.

have you gotten a stall yet? it made all the difference for mine. i went from 12 pounds 5.3 with no spin to 6.0 with 3000 stall and 10 psi and burnout into top of second gear! the stall made a huge difference in the peel out department. also.. its all in the tune man. ive dropped a second and a half with a good tune when i installed the 6.0 and 10psi. its just trial and error to find the best tune all around. keep tring,,, youll get it. oh yeah.. i could even do a 4wd burnout for about 5 feet. scary, but cool as hell when you got a passenger!
