Default Who's running the VHP 44 cam?

210/218 114 cam?

hows the idle and how is the low end I need something thats can get a ECSB 4x4 with 285's moving

if not i may go with a custom 208/216 114 type cam

i have the VHP tuner so i can raise idle and use their tune.. i was wondering if thats enough to get me by with that 44 cam?

Im running an 062
lots of lowend
no idle issues on a 93 tune
has pretty good lope

I think the 047 or 062 would be a better choice for low end
or are you sticking with a 114?

i'd like to stay with 114.. if i had hp tuners or wanted a custom tune from nelson i'd go with the 112 lsa..

114 just meets my needs a lil better since I use the truck fairly often

i installed the 062 2 weeks ago, and like gamedawgx53 i don't have any idle issues, sounds great, and this is my daily driver. probably be better on low-mid with a tighter lsa, IMHO.

I've got the 044

the low-end is AWESOME !!!, idle is good (tuning isn't required...but it's not a bad idea) and driveability is SOOOOOOO much better than it was with the stock cam. I can't reccomend this thing enough to guys that want to stick with a "baby" cam but still want good gains in performance

I'm with Yelo! I have one in my 03, 5.3 Tahoe. More torque off idle than stock, great response, pulls hard all the way to 6000. Highway mileage picked up 1/2-1mpg and no loss around town. Runs OK on stock tune, but the Crane tuner really brings it alive. Runs better and smoother than stock at all speeds. I have the Crane dual springs and steel retainers (not even titanium) and Crane rockers. Super set-up. Ideal for towing! Can't recommend this cam enough!! Hope this helps!!
