My brother in law has a 96 5.7 with some mods and we raced at the track once. Due to my bad reaction time (.4sec worse), my nose was at his tail until I started to reel him in at the 330ft, even a little past 1/8 and 3/4 length at the 1/4. Ran a 15.07 to his 15.40. Was at 14.80 before the night was through. His best ever was 14.90 before his bed cover.

White53gmc:

The rwhp and rwtq (before/after headers) in your sig are a little strange. Is there a typo there?
Good numbers.

P.S. - white53gmc, what track do you go to? capitol or no problems? several of my friends went to no problems tonite including zerog10201 and some friends with old muscle cars.

The 96-99 are better than pre 96. He's got HPP3, no cats, headers, msd ignition, udp, k&n fipk. I usually head out to npr but this weekend I'll be at state capitol.

Fast4.8: yeah typo. 278rwhp/301rwtq before the headers and 290rwhp/321rwtq after. The yank reduces those to 283rwhp/308rwtq.

I have a 99 5.7 Vortec V8 and it's rated at 255hp / 330tq...

The early 90's stuff is also TBI I would imagine, should be a slaughter.
