Who makes this Cam?
#1
Was wondering who makes a 224/ 226 at 114 or 112( don't remember the last #)???
Allen's telling me that's the cam I need for my wants. He didn't say who made it though. Of course I didn't ask either.

He does that quite a bit for Nicken Brothers Racing. He does use Comp Cams custom grinds there a lot.
Don't know the lift though. He told me there is a set of heads, that cam, and his tuning that he would want to put on instead of the S/C.
He said it will make an easy 500hp/500+ ft lbs TQ. All without a stall converter. He said his particular combo makes power from close to idle to 6,500 rpms. Has good idle, gets good mpg, can be used to pull trailers with, and of course can be used as a daily driver.
I asked him about bigger injectors, and he said that the stockers can handle it. Just have to add an inline fuel pump.
It's just hard to believe. But, Allen said he has already done this on other LQ9 equipped trucks with great results.
What do you guys think?

Allen is the man. I met him recently at the race track and he suggested a similar cam to me. I asked him about the TR 224/227 "Nitrous" cam and he said it would work good. I can't wait to see how it works out.
