i was just doing some looking around to see what i could find our about this supercharger, i have the auxilary injectors but NONE of the electronics. it seems everyone hates the whipple electronics and suggests going to 42# injectors and a full custom tune, whats so bad about the whipple electronics? if i go with the 42# injectors and custom tune can i modify the intake elbow to delete the injectors or can i somehow make the injectors spray meth? this is seeming like a bad idea rather quickly.....

i dont want to boost over about 5psi on the stock 134K mile engine and trans, thats just asking for **** to break. than again, just adding the whipple may be a bad idea.

what do i need to do to make it spray meth? i knoe i will need a meth kit but what do i need to do to the elbow?

This is what you need X 8 and a tune for it.
I think this would be cheaper then the electronics from whipple.
This is also a better set up.At 6lbs you dont need a meth injector
but you could ad one if you wanted to.
Go to home depot and make your own plug for
the aux injectors holes.

Instead of providing tuning and fuel injectors, whipple came up with a little box that fools your PCM by alterating some sensor readings, and adds additional fuel with the extra injectors. You can't tune this setup since you don't know what their electronics box is doing to your PCM. Its also difficult to make any adjustments to the vehicle as their electronic box has programming for a stock engine for a single year. Change vehicles or add upgrades adn their tune is off. Finally, fueling is imprecise since fuel gets sprayed into the intake and can cause some cylinders to get more or less fuel than others and you can't do any fine tuning on it.

Seriously, find some alternate injectors and skip the whipple electronics. If you want a simple solution, contact kenne bell. They make a whipple upgrade kit that comes with injectors and a PCM tune so you can get rid of the whipple electronics.

i dont have any of the electronics so i have to buy 8 new injectors and get a tune. i emailed whipple yesterday to get the cank pulley, a belt and hardware, and my room mate gave me his old air/fuel gauge and exhaust temp gauge so all i need is a boost gauge.

what size injectors do i need to get for it? the 45# one like dc96819 posted or will 36# injectors work? (i have some 36# ones in my closet)

Are they a GM truck injector? Honestly you can probably get by on the 36#ers if you stick with stock boost levels. I ran a whipple on my Tahoe with the stock flex fuel injectors which are about 36#s I think. I just stuck with stock boost levels and didn't have any other mods but a tune. The added torque was nice to get the weight moving.

i searched the kenne bell web site and as far as i can tell this is what you are talking about, BigTex. am i right?

the injectors i have are the same size, visually, as the whipple auxilary injectors. here is a pic of them.
