WHO ALL HAS DONE A 5.3 CAM SWAP
#11
BY THE WAY WE ARE TRYING TO PUT IN THE AIR TEMP RELO RIGHT NOW. WHERES THE BEST PLACE BEFORE OR AFTER THE MAF. MAYBE IN THE AC VENT. LOL. THAT SHOULD SHOW IT COOL ENOUGH.LOL

OK THIS SUCKS. I WENT TO INSTALL THE RELO AND I DIDNT KNOW IT WAS BUILT INTO MY MAF. I CALLED JET AND THEY SAID IT WAS FOR THE 350. WHEN I TOLD THEM IT WAS FOR A 200O THEY SAID IT WOULD WORK. ASK MORE QUESTIONS NEXT TIME I GUESS. I FOUND HEADERS FOR LESS THAN $300 FOR MY TRUCK WITH A Y PIPE. ANY OTHER IDEA FOR CHEAP FOR NOW?

He has made a few passes on the 1/8 track but hasn't made it over to the 1/4 yet. We will probablly both go to the 1/4 shortly since I just got a deal on a dry kit.
BTW Hyde... here is the guy we are talking about's page http://www.sshotrods.com (although it was in the second post on this thread )

WELL THANKS FOR ALL THE INFO BUT NOW THE CAM IS PUSHED BACK. I FOUND OUT I HAD 3,42 WITH OUT EVEN LIMITED SLIP TODAY. THAT JUST ADDED TO THE LOWERING OF MY CHECKING. I HAVE A K@N AND FLOWMASTER 40 SERIES. HEADERS FROM EDLEBROCK SHOULD BE IN THE MAIL. WHAT ARE SOME STUFF I CAN DO THAT ARE FAIRLY CHEAP{ UNDER $400} THAT I CAN START WITH. I GUESS I WILL JUST GO FOR A STOP LIGHT TO STOP LIGHT TRUCK
