The Whipple is still more efficient, but there is something that has both of these kits whipped https://ls1tech.com/forums/showthread.php?t=118552 I'd go with that for boost!!!

Very nice kit! I have contacted them and they will have a kit available in 6/04. I like that kit, but nothing beats a 3/36 drivetrain warranty!

"The Whipple is still more efficient" I thought that the radix was more efficient than the whipple due to the intercooler. Which one makes the best low to mid torque? My application would be for towing. Any helps guys thank

I'd still go with the RADIX. I had it on my z71. Pulling the boat back and forth to the lake was a breeze for it after the install. I could hang with a Focus at a 70 punch going down a highway pulling a 2500 pound boat.

I have drivin and installed both the radix and the whipple on the same 5.3 truck. Hands down the Radix is better for all around driving and street/strip performance. If you want to "race" only then the procharger may be the way to go. But for everyday driving and street FUN the Radix is the only kit!

Well, okay you are correct in saying the Radix is a more effiecient 'kit' than the Whipple 'kit' That is correct. If you were just taking into account the actual blower (not 'kit') the twin screw design is more efficient.

This coming from a diehard Whipple fan (me, lol):
if you want easy bolt on power I'd go Radix. The Radix kit is very well engineered with the inclusion of larger fuel injectors and integrated air/water intercooler.

if you want a max effort blower setup go twin screw Whipple and make your own intercooler setup and buy larger injectors and tune it well. It is worth it, but it takes time to do all of this -trust me

That turbo setup absolutely kills any blower though. However, you might want to weld your hood shut if you have to take emissions testing. I don't think that would pass visual inspection

The twin screw is the most efficient type of positive displacement blower on the market. However, One thing that I have never like about the Whipple is out of the box it uses two auxlery injectors to ad additional fuel. To me that leaves room for error. The Kenney Bell supercharger is VERY similar to the Whipple setup however they use larger injectors with tuning, insted of the piggy back setup that whipple uses.

On a side note there is a large price difference between the kits. So whats beter? A Radix, or a Whipple with some other stuff that you can buy for the price of a Radix. Ex. Radix Vs. Whippple and stall?

The turbo kit beats all. But, a setup like that for our brother, the f-body is close to $10,000.oo.
