Default whipple pulley ?

hey guys allen has been trying to get me a 3 3/4" pulley for a single belt 2300AXO compressor from whipple for three weeks, no luck. anyone have one they want to sell ? or know of another source ? . or does anyone know who manufactures the compressors for them ? . i'm attempting 8 psi and using the 1/8 " per pound of boost that has been discussed here as a base for the size. hopefully this works for the both the single and dual belt setups. any info is appreciated. e

i called whipple tuesday, and ordered a 3.5 inch pully no prob. i got a fedex tracking number the next day via email. also, they confirmed the 1/8 = +1psi
actually,, i said the smallest pully you guys got. he said i think its a 3 1/4. so i said ok. lol but everyone else whos gotten the smallest got a 3.5, so thats what im counting on. also,, i have the single pully system.

ok, i'll give them a call tomorrow. don't know why they're giving him the runaround. so you're shooting for 10 psi ? i don't see an intercooler in that picture, won't that be a little too much ? if it really is 3 1/4 that's 12. is anyone running that much boost without one ? or is that an old picture. thanks.e

I am curious...what did they charge you for the pulley itself? I have purchased 2 pulleys from them and one was $49.95 and the other one (3.5" ) was $79.95. When I ordered the 3.5, I just wanted it, so I didn't really balk at the extra $$, yet I am still curious. I think they just kinda get what they can.

if the 49.95 one is 3 3/4 i'll buy it from you if you don't need it. big guy, what kind of intercooler is that ? whats it off of ? how's it working ? how much $ ? how much fab ? i'm starting to think i might need one. e

I have a 4", not a 3.75. Strange thing - for me it took about 1/4" smaller for every one pound increase in pressure. I started with a 4.375 at 5 PSI...then the 4.0 gave me about 7 PSI...and now the 3.5 gives me 10 PSI. Weird.
