whipple charger

I gained 1.1 second and 7 mph with the addition of the Whipple...no other changes pcm wise either. I have been happy with the Whipple, but I think I would have been happier with the new intercooled Magna.

The most complaints I have seen with the whipple is on the 2002 model trucks.Mine included. The PCM programming is different on the 2002 models,I belive the torque managment being the biggest factor.I think it's worse on the 02's than the earlier years. Most people i've seen with the whipples like them for the most part. Each time I did a mod to my truck i've been dissapointed until I got my custom tuned Predator.I believe the torque managment was killing my power. Now i'm not saying my trucks fast, but after the Predator it finally feels like it has some umph to it.
You might want to look into getting the truck dyno tuned or Ls1 edit or a custom Predator tune. With some timing changes and torge management reduction the truck will really start to turn on.I believe thats the whole reason that Whipple offers a tuner now. It's a shame they dont include it in the kit.

I have a superchips tuner that has a custom program that they made with my truck on their dyno back in Feb 02. Until I had that done I was just like you-disappointed with the Whipple. TQ Mgt on 2002's sux. Now that I have edit I might be able to be convinced to get rid of the programmer. Shoot me an e-mail if you are interested.
